A problem statement is created from a questionnaire and/or interview to determine keywords, target audience, etc. A storyboard is then made and presented to the client to give a more visual representation of the analysis taken from the problem statement.
This phase incorporates brainstorming of keywords established from the problem statement. Thumbnail sketching also accompanies the brainstorming, to further dive into conceptualization.
The "Design" phase involves narrowing down at least 3 concepts, and providing variations of those concepts. Once a concept is chosen, another set of variations take place and ultimately refined.
Once client approves the final design, mockups are then created and a presentation of the concept takes place. The project is then taken into final production and handed to the client.
Graphic Designer
I love the creative process, especially knowing that not only can it help in what I do as a Designer, but in other aspects of life and problem solving. A majority of my career has been spent within the video game industry, doing everything from print production, brand identity, web design, UI/HUD design, photography and video editing.
Other interesting facts about me… In my younger days I used to be in a Hip Hop dance group. I consider myself a closet emcee (rapper) and still dabble in writing and an occasional freestyle. I was born in Oakland, raised in San Jose, lived out in Sacramento and Hawaii, then eventually came back to San Jose.
